is an artist, muralist and graphic designer based in the Hudson Valley region of New York. Rowan's work is inspired by and draws from the elements of movement, balance, line and chance, given her extensive background as a dancer. Rowan creates works on paper and canvas, mural paintings directly on the wall, Place Portrait illustrations, custom wedding paper goods, and small collections of hand-painted ceramics.
Rowan graduated from Bard College in 2015 with a degree in Studio Art. Rowan was born and raised in Upstate, Ny and feels deep within her that the Hudson Valley is her one true home. From it, she pulls endless inspiration from the breathtaking beauty of her surroundings.
Currently, Rowan is working on a Daily Drawing project, which began on January 1, 2021. Rowan creates 2 small one-of-a-kind drawings per day. She keeps one as a piece of a large and evolving composite work, and the other one, she lists in her store for sale. To learn more about this project, click here.
In addition to abstract artwork, murals & ceramics, Rowan has representational offerings called Place Portraits, for both personal and professional use. Rowan works with each client to create these one-of-a-kind portraits to be enjoyed and used for years to come. To learn more about this offering, click here.
